Who We Are: Meet the Team
Mr. Shiffman was born in Washington, D.C. at Sibley Hospital and has spent most of his life in the DMV, traveling the Beltway. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland and earned his law degree from the American University, Washington College of Law, where his focus was trial advocacy. He is a member of the Maryland Bar, the Virginia Bar, and the District of Columbia Bar, as well as the U.S. District Court in both Washington, D.C. and Maryland. He is a member of the Maryland Association for Justice, American Association for Justice, D.C. Trial Lawyers Association, and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. Outside of the office and court, Mr. Shiffman enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and dog, and watching baseball.
Mr. Shiffman is the founding member of Shiffman & Shiffman, P.C., opening the firm over forty years ago. He is a litigator with extensive trial experience in state and federal courts in the District of Columbia and Virginia. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar, the Virginia Bar, the US Supreme Court, the Military Court of Justice, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Court of Claims. Mr. Shiffman was an adjunct professor at American University College of Law. Paul spends his free time volunteering as a Little League Baseball manager and coach, which he has done for the past fifty years.
